MiniLit is an evidence-based, explicit and effective literacy intervention program for teaching reading skills to children. MiniLit stands for 'Meeting Initial Needs in Literacy'.
At Tirriwirri School MiniLit is used to support students to learn how to read effectively. It is used as a small group program or on a one-to-one basis to support students. MiniLit's approach to improving the literacy skills of struggling students is to combine research and theory with program development and service delivery.
